Huge thanks to Karen and Derrick at the Costco Tire Center in Traverse City. They took the time to help me get to the bottom of a confusing issue with the load index listed on the tire card in my door versus what my truck needed. I actually saved about $80 in the process. My husband and son took my son’s car in to have snow tires installed. We ordered the tires weeks ago and scheduled the appointment the same day—Monday, November 17th at 7:00 PM. After sitting in the food court for over an hour, my husband finally went to get an update. They hadn’t even pulled the car into the shop yet, and the store was closing in 10 minutes. Suddenly the employee came back and said they “couldn’t lift the car because of rust.” That was simply not true—the car had a full mechanic inspection on a lift just a week earlier with zero issues. The only thing the employee offered was a refund for the tires, which makes no sense when winter is here and we specifically ordered them for safety. We told him we’d take the tires to our own mechanic instead. Right after speaking to us, we heard him tell the next customer in line that his car couldn’t get tires because his lug nuts were “swollen.” At that point it was pretty clear: they were closing soon, overbooked, and making excuses. This tire center is a complete joke—overbooked, underqualified, and apparently willing to lie just to get out the door at closing time. Very disappointing experience. Would not trust them with

Helped us when we discovered our car had a flat tire on a Sunday morning and we were supposed to drive back to Chicago. Got there shortly after they opened and they were able To Repair our tire vs having to buy a new set! In and out in a little over an hour, very nice staff- Scott and the rest of the team did great! There are almost no options on a Sunday and they really got us out of a jam!

Currently waiting for my winter tires to be taken off and summer put on. When I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment I was told that they were an hour behind schedule (appointment at 4:45). No big deal. I'll mosey while I grocery shop as I was told the appointment would take 45 min once it went in. Went back at 6:15 as I was asked to do. Then I was told they should have pushed me back 2 hours and they had just gotten my car in so I have "at least 45 more minutes ". Im irritated because a simple call to let me know my appointment time wasn't going to work would have been nice. When I voiced my frustration with it I was told they dont have access to my phone number to have let me know. Accessing my membership to call me shouldn't be an issue. This is the second time in a row that switching my tires has taken hours. Last time I was here past close. With an appointment, this Is unacceptable.
